A window washing company put the holiday lights on the home in the picture. The lights on the peaks should have been attached with tile clips but instead they were attached with a crude staple gun. The face of the peak has over 50 staples shot into the woodwork of this multi million dollar home. The lighting wire is about the same width as a staple so usually it’s a given a few staples with go awry and shoot through the copper inside the wire before wedging into the homes wood trim. This can cause a shorting effect which can heat the staples up to several hundred degrees. Finding burn marks on a home when another company has used a staple gun is pretty common.
